The limits, as Loom lists them

These come from the Starter column of loom.com/pricing, read on 6 October 2026.

Starter also lists transcriptions in more than 50 languages, comments, emoji reactions and basic editing.

What the paid plans change

Business is listed at $18 per user per month. It lists unlimited videos, unlimited recording time, quality up to 4K, unlimited workspace members, removal of Loom branding, advanced editing and password-protected videos. Business + AI is $24 per user per month and adds automatic summaries and meeting notes, filler word removal and editing by transcript. Annual billing saves 17 percent.

The price of the top plans has moved before. A third-party report puts a rise to $20 on 27 January 2026, which Loom's own page does not confirm, so use the page's figures above.

Staying under the limits

Plan the task before you press record. A five-minute cap fits one clear walkthrough: the problem, the steps, the result. If your videos regularly run past five minutes, the cap will cost you more time than it saves, and the choice is between paying per seat and moving to a recorder with a different limit.

A recorder with no length cap

Takelight saves a recording as an MP4 on your computer, with no account and no watermark. Video recording is part of Pro, which is €39 for 6 months, €69 for a year or €139 for Pro forever, and a recording has no length cap. The free plan makes step guides from your clicks and keeps ten. What you give up is hosting: there is no share link, no comments and no view count, so you send the file yourself.

The full side-by-side is on the Takelight vs Loom page, and the Loom alternative guide covers what you keep and what you lose. Takelight is built from user feedback, and the roadmap page is where to ask for the thing it lacks.
